Why buy local flowers?

It’s a question I began asking myself years ago.

I remember receiving my first bouquet of local grown flowers in Colorado after a bad accident. It was filled with yellow flowers, lacy foliage, little white flowers, sprigs of spearmint tea, and a few curly twigs. I loved it! It was so fresh and smelled so good! From that point on, I began wishing for a way to buy flower bouquets already made that consisted of typical and unusual local grown flowers instead of the regular grocery store bouquets. I also thought about how wonderful it would be to have a way to pick local grown flowers to create my own bouquets, week after week, or for a special occasion.

So why buy local flowers? You’re supporting a local grower who’s investing their love of gardening, creativity, and hard work into creating something unique and beautiful for you. You’re supporting your local economy. You get to develop a relationship with your grower. Your flowers will last much longer. You can enjoy local, more delicate flowers like peonies, ranunculus, and dahlias that don’t ship well. And the list goes on!
